Inprotech Discussion Forum

I had a discussion with an Inprotech user last night about the Inprotech Discussion Forum that we have established (http://apps.redraincorp.com/forum/index.php). The view that he had taken, from my introduction e-mail, was that we had intended to charge for the "service".

This is not the case at all. The intention was to create a space where questions and issues could be asked and discussed. This was both as an adjunct to product support but also an area where business issues and feedback about usage or the system could be obtained from other users. The overall goal is to create an area where the user community could easily interact on day to day issues (or any other issue for that matter).

The point I was trying to make about money was that there are some costs involved in making this happen and if the tool wasn't used (it is a bit of an experiment!) then we would close it down.

To date around 30 people have registered as users but they hasn't been much activity, which suggests that the market doesn't have a need for this type of thing however we'll keep it going for another 6 months and see what happens.

If you are interested in having this kind of facility available I would encourage you to have a look at and contribute to site.
